Ashley Gregory
Queer Internal Family Systems Therapy

Hi! I’m Ashley (she/her). I also go by Ash. :)

Ashley, with short hair, glasses, and an orange collared shirt. She stares out in the ocean with graphics of ocean life, the moon, and mushrooms surrounding her.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) offering online psychotherapy in California with a focus on LGBTQIA+ folx.

I align with Queers, Weirdos, and Rebels to transform shamefulness into spaciousness with playfulness, curiosity, and hope.

The “Q” in LGBTQIA+ stands for Queer and Questioning.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a relationship-centered, evidence-based, and experiential psychotherapy model prioritizing collaboration and consent.

My approach to LGBTQIA+ affirming Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy includes anyone feeling curious about exploring and/or questioning their relationship to gender roles, gender expression, sexuality, sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

  • Apply for that metalworking apprenticeship you’ve been eyeing for years

  • Show up to the monthly solidarity meeting you’ve felt nervous to check out

  • Rock that badass Queer haircut just in time for employee photo day

  • Start a coming out conversation at the next Sunday night dinner with your beloveds

  • Calmly answer that call from the friend who ghosted you when you needed them most

  • Say “the thing” you thought you’d NEVER say, out loud and with self-compassion

  • Confidently inform your manager about what is absolutely NOT in your job description

  • Read your favorite sci-fi graphic novel by yourself during the long awaited family vacation without feeling guilty

  • Talk to that genderqueer cutie you’ve shared long glances with at the dog park

  • Care less about what your co-worker thinks about your presentation without feeling careless about them when you run into each other in the break room

  • Finally enroll in that super silly class because YOU love it (even though no one else wants to go with you)

  • Know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you’re a good person.

LGBTQIA+ Affirming IFS Therapy can help you…

In my Queer IFS practice, you can expect:

Genuine care.

Inside jokes.

Greeting every part with curiosity.

Conviviality.

Transparency.

A hand on my heart.

Intuitive listening.

Patience.

Reliability.

A fierce commitment to hope.

Shout out to Shawny Sena, LMFT for her example in offering this list format to describe her playful therapy for old souls who are super gay!
