Ashley Gregory
Queer Internal Family Systems Therapy

Hi! I’m Ashley (she/her). I also go by Ash. :)

Ashley, with short hair, glasses, and an orange collared shirt. She stares out in the ocean with graphics of ocean life, the moon, and mushrooms surrounding her.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) offering online psychotherapy in California with a focus on LGBTQ+ folx.

I align with Queers, Weirdos, and Rebels to transform shamefulness into spaciousness with playfulness, curiosity, and hope.

The “Q” in LGBTQ+ stands for Queer and Questioning.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a relationship-centered, evidence-based, and experiential psychotherapy model prioritizing collaboration and consent.

My approach to LGBTQ+ affirming Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy includes anyone feeling curious about exploring and/or questioning their relationship to gender roles, gender expression, sexuality, sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

  • Applying to that metalworking apprenticeship you’ve been eyeing for years

  • Rocking that badass Queer haircut just in time for employee photo day

  • Showing up to the monthly solidarity meeting you’ve been feeling twitchy about

  • Starting a coming out conversation with your beloveds at the next Sunday night dinner

  • Calmly answering a call from the friend who ghosted you when you needed them most

  • Saying the thing you thought you’d NEVER say—out loud and with self-compassion

  • Confidently clarifying your work boundaries to your manager (& your manager’s manager)

  • Reading the new gay sci-fi graphic novel by yourself during family vacation guilt-free

  • Talking to that genderqueer cutie you’ve shared long glances with at the dog park

  • Finally enrolling in that extra silly class because YOU love it (even though you’ll be solo)

  • Knowing, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you’re a good person.

Shout out to Shawny Sena, LMFT for her example in offering this list format to describe her playful therapy for old souls who are super gay!
